 Lahore Newspaper latest, March 3, 2022) A meeting between the Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the head of the Church of England.  And Canterbury appreciated the steps taken by the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan for the establishment of peace and the work of Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar for the welfare of humanity including minorities.


 According to details, during a meeting between Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, head of the Church of England, they discussed government measures for religious freedom in Pakistan, promotion of religious harmony and other issues.  Gaye and Gore Nar Punjab also briefed the head of the Church of England on the steps being taken for the protection of minorities in Punjab and provision of facilities, while Gore Nar Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and his wife Begum Parveen Sarwar in honor of the Christian community.  The head of the Church of England also attended a reception in honor of Archbishop Justin Welby of Canterbury.

 Addressing the function, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that we warmly welcome Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, Head of the Church of England and his delegation and assure them that the promotion of religious harmony in Pakistan and in Pakistan.  The government is taking all measures for the protection of life and property and religious freedom of all the living minorities and there is no doubt that religious freedom and protection for most minorities in the world is only in Pakistan.  Is taking practical steps to provide maximum relief in other areas including health and education.


 Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that societies which do not give religious freedom and protection to minorities are destroyed.  But in Pakistan, according to the ideas of Quaid-e-Azam, the rights of all minorities are being provided. All minorities, including Christians, have an ideal role to play in the development and stability of the country.  The performance of the functioning institutions is also commendable in all respects. For the strength of any country, it is necessary for the minorities to be strong.


 Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, Head of the Church of England, said that the steps taken for the promotion of religious harmony in Pakistan are also commendable.  We all value the sacrifices made by the security agencies and the people of Pakistan. The whole world must work together for the establishment of peace in the world.


 Canterbury Archbishop Justin Welby thanked Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar for his services to the UK and Glasgow as a member of the British Parliament and said that today his son Anas Sarwar is also a leader of the Scottish Labor Party and Member of Parliament.  As you are doing better in health and other fields in Glasgow. Coming to Pakistan and you and Begum Parveen are working for clean drinking water and service to humanity is a great example of service to humanity on which you  I hope that your family will continue to work hard for the service of humanity with this mission.
