President Arif Ali, Chief Minister Punjab, Provincial Ministers and senior military officials attended the ceremony


 



 National Horse and Cattle Show after decades at Fortress Stadium Lahore.



 LAHORE: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday inaugurated the National Horse and Cattle Show at Fortress Stadium, Lahore, after a long hiatus of decades.  Is .  Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, military leadership, provincial ministers Mian Mahmood Al-Rasheed and Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dareshk and others were also present on the occasion. The three-day mega event will continue till March 12.


 The show is one of the most important socio-cultural events and Punjab has been the only one to host it since its inception.  It is a wonderful expression of national unity, solidarity and harmony.  The Horse and Cattle Show to be held six years later and its revival is one of the expeditious steps taken by the Punjab Government to promote agriculture, livestock, sports, industries, handicrafts and culture etc. in the National Horse and Cattle Show 2022.  Major events include horse and camel dancing, tent pegging, animal competitions, equestrian, jumping, acrobatic stunts on motorcycle by military police, gray hands race, umbrella free fall, cattle show and march past of provincial athletes.  Also part of this event.


 The Punjab Chief Minister also presented a souvenir of National Horse and Cattle Show to President Dr. Arif Alvi.

 Later, prizes were also distributed among the performers. It is worth mentioning here that the provincial government also has the support of Pakistan Army in organizing this mega event.
