 An eyewitness who survived the Peshawar blast told the story

March 04, 2022) An eyewitness who survived the suicide blast at Friday prayers in a mosque in Peshawar said that a suicide bomber dressed in black blew himself up in front of the pulpit.  He told Geo News that the suicide bomber targeted a security guard. He fired five to six shots and hurried into the mosque, where he detonated his explosives in front of the pulpit.


 Details of the blast in Peshawar continue to emerge. According to CCPO Muhammad Ijaz, two assailants tried to enter the mosque.  The terrorists opened fire on the policemen on duty.  According to SSP Operations Haroon Rashid, there was no advance alert regarding the blast.

 The blast appears to be a suicide bombing. Barrister Saif, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that it was reported that the terrorists first tried to enter the mosque.  Of



 Barrister Saif added that the number of injured is said to be 50 who have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.  Police said that they have started investigation into the incident and a bomb disposal squad has also been called after which the nature of the blast will be explained.  As a result, several people have been injured.  According to rescue sources, the bodies of several martyrs have been brought to Lady Reading Hospital. According to rescue sources, 50 injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital so far.  Ten of them are in critical condition.
